Gugulethu Mbatha (better known as Gugu-Mbatha-Raw) is a British actress and film star known for her role in the film industry when she was a part of the BBC show "Doctor Who", which is a British science-fiction TV series. Handler's professional career started as part of the all-female Oxygen TV show in the hidden camera/practical humor reality series Girls Behaving Unstably. From 2002 until 2005, the show was aired. Handler then started appearing in other programs such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler has also worked as the correspondent of The Tonight Show. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006, when she became the host of E! called The Chelsea Handler show. The show lasted for two seasons. Handler was a part of Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the following season throughout the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend (and HBO) have shown her stand-up performances live. In 2010, it was announced that she would host the MTV Video Music Awards 2010. In doing so, she was the second female host to be announced in the same category as Roseanne.
