Rena Sofer

  Rena Sherel (born on December 2 in 1968), is an American actress. Her role includes daytime television and guest performances on episodic basis and movies made for TV. Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her performance in the role of Lois Cerullo of the soap opera General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013 until 2022.





 Childhood and early life



 Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) in California. She is the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau), who works as a psychologist, and Martin Sofer, who is an Orthodox Rabbi.





 She relocated with her father as well as her brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father ran the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She went on to attend the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high school located in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was rabbi of Temple Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School she was a student at Montclair State College.





 Career



 Television during the daytime



 Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer performed with on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as managing a band. Her first TV role was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap production about Loving (1988-91).
